Positive Internet Adds SSAE 16 Compliance Hosting

Positive Internet, the leading specialist provider of Linux cloud services and managed hosting add SSAE 16 compliance at its world-class downtown New York CIty data center, home to our VIP managed hosting and posicloud customers.

The Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 (SSAE 16) supersedes the previous data center industry standard, SAS 70. The SSAE 16 report scope focuses on procedures performed which are likely to be relevant to its customers’ internal controls over financial reporting, including: physical and environmental security, problem management, technical support, customer ordering/service delivery, network equipment monitoring and organization and administration.

"Our managed hosting and private cloud customers rely on Positive Internet's VIP Fully Managed Hosting services to ensure they are always compliant with the latest data security regulations and best practices" says Scott Molski, Vice President with Positive Internet. "They trust us to maintain our data centers with the key building blocks such as ISO 27001, SAS 70 and now SSAE 16 so that they we can easily help them acheive PCI DSS Level 1 or HIPPA compliance as their business requires".

Like SAS 70, SSAE 16 is not a "certification" so beware of any vendors who say the are SSAE 16 or SAS 70 "certified" according to a leading SSAE 16 auditor. Such a provider likely does not fully understand these important security standards and that could jeopardize the compliance of your systems.

Positive Internet's professional engineers are here to help with any of your compliance or certification needs on a consulting basis, or get all of their expertise at any time as part of your VIP Managed Hosting or CloudCare VIP Service.
